Meet Aletha

Welcome to Essence By Design! My name is Aletha, and I’m based in Jacksonville, Florida. My journey into the world of handcrafted jewelry began as a way to heal and cope with the loss of a child. The creative process became not only a source of comfort but also a form of therapy that brought joy and purpose back into my life.

For over 20 years, I have been passionately designing and creating unique, handcrafted jewelry. In 2018, I decided to take the leap and turn my beloved hobby into a business, giving birth to Essence By Design.

While jewelry remains at the heart of what I do, I’ve recently expanded my creative passions to include resin art and custom t-shirts. These new ventures allow me to explore fresh avenues of creativity while continuing to share my designs with others.
